BORMSA Autocross Results - Saturday 24 May

Congratulations to Garry Connell who took the win in his Artic Cat in muddy conditions at BORMSA on his first visit to Beverley. A great effort by Garry Butler (Ford Escort) as first 2WD home (and winner of the $75 BORMSA voucher), followed by Justin O'Malley in the WRX and Pete Dixon in the Excel. Tim Ralli proved he hasn't lost his driving skills, closing out the Top 5 on his first ever competitive outing on the Autocross track after 3 years surveying the action as Event Secretary.

Jump starts caught out a few, with 2013 BORMSA Khanacross champ Cam Moody (19th) missing out on family bragging rights to Wally (14th), fellow jumpers included Andrew (18th) & Sean (17th). Matt (16th) discovered that windscreen wipers are essential in muddy conditions at BORMSA, getting into strife on his first run.

Many thanks to Wayne, Bob, Iain and Mum for their extensive track work in their lead up to the event so we could still run despite the weather. A further thank you to Bryan, Corina, Karen, Paul and Rex for their help today. The winner of the raffle draw for a $50 Performance racegear voucher (the draw is open to ALL competitors and officials) is first time racer Brad Bowden (Car 10).

Hope to see everyone at the next BORMSA event - a Junior Motorkhana & Busy on Saturday 12th July and Khanacross on Sunday 13th July.
