Rally Rides & BORMSA Club Open Day

To give people a taste of rally fun, see what BORMSA is about and raise some money for the club, a RALLY RIDES & BORMSA CLUB OPEN DAY is being held on Sunday 10 August at the BORMSA Motorplex in Nicholas St, Beverley.

ENTRIES ARE OPEN! BORMSA Busy Bee, JMK & Khanacross

Entries are now open for the next BORMSA event. We’re holding a Busy Bee and Junior Motorkhana on Saturday 12 July, followed by our first Khanacross of the year on Sunday 13 July. The tracks are looking great after a long break since we last raced them.

Merchandise - BORMSA Hoodies now available!

With the wintry weather upon us, a BORMSA hoody has been added to the range of available club merchandise. As these are a higher value item ($45), they need to be pre-ordered by THURSDAY, 26 JUNE 2014.

Available sizes (figure is the ½ chest measurement in centimetres) are L6 (46), L8 (48.5), L10 (51), S (56), M (58.5), L (61), XL (63.5), XXL (66), 3XL (71), 5XL (76). The BORMSA logo will be embroidered on the front.

Payment can be made by EFT (BSB 066 524, A/C 10099481) or cheque payable to BORMSA.

BORMSA Autocross Results - Saturday 24 May

Congratulations to Garry Connell who took the win in his Artic Cat in muddy conditions at BORMSA on his first visit to Beverley. A great effort by Garry Butler (Ford Escort) as first 2WD home (and winner of the $75 BORMSA voucher), followed by Justin O'Malley in the WRX and Pete Dixon in the Excel. Tim Ralli proved he hasn't lost his driving skills, closing out the Top 5 on his first ever competitive outing on the Autocross track after 3 years surveying the action as Event Secretary.

Approved regs have been received and entries are open! Please get your Autocross entry in before Thursday 22nd May for racing on Saturday 24th.

BORMSA Junior Motorkhana Results

The first BORMSA event for the year was a Junior Motorkhana on Saturday 19 April, with 9 tests run. It was a strong performance by Nick King to take first place and the $20 BORMSA voucher in a time of 6:15.87. In the runner-up position was Jordyn Hunter with 9:19.63, keeping the car intact for Rex & Sindy to race on Sunday. There was also a great effort by Seryina Hunter, driving for the first time ever, to finish in 11:03.37 and claim a win on Test 3.

BORMSA Autocross Results

Congratulations to Daymon Nicoli in the Commodore taking the win and $75 BORMSA voucher in the first BORMSA Autocross of 2014. Tim Bayer followed in second place, with Brock Nicoli's Test 4 DNF dropping him back to third place after challenging strongly for victory. A great effort from Wally & Sindy who traded in their officials hats to compete in their first autocross events at BORMSA. Final results are attached.

Prizes for Autocross & JMK Events

As per the AGM, BORMSA are moving away from presenting large numbers of annual trophies and maintaining just the perpetual Club Champion trophy with on-the-day prizes for events.
