October Khanacross and Drive Day

Hi guys,

Attached are the supp regs for the October Khanacross and Drive Day on October 25 & 26.

This is the last BORMSA event for the season, so it's all to play for.

We're also looking for a Club Steward as Lyn can't make it, as well as a Secretary for both days. Without those roles filled, the events could still be cancelled.

Spot on!

Mark.

Here are the results for the Khanacross on September 28th.

Congrats to Nick King on a big win in only his 2nd BORMSA event.

Cheers,

Mark.

cost cuts for motorsports

AIMSS achieves a major benefit for CAMS competitors
19 Sep 2008

The Australian Institute for Motor Sport Safety (AIMSS) has succeeded in achieving a major cost-cutting benefit while maintaining optimum safety levels in the area of safety harness life in Australian motor sport.

Following a recommendation by AIMSS, the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd (CAMS) Board has approved an extension of the validity of FIA racing harnesses in non-international events from five to ten years.

BORMSA Khanacross - 28 September 2008 - Bulletin #1

Hi Everyone,

Please find attached Bulletin #1 relating to the Khanacross on Sunday, 28th September. Lyn White will be stepping up to the CAMS Steward role with Neal Johnson assisting as Club Steward. There’s also revised wording of the apparel requirements, however the intent remains the same as always – neck-to-wrist-to-ankle non-synthetic is the fashionable look in Beverley.

September Khanacross

Hi Everyone,

Please find attached the paperwork for the Khanacross on 28th September. With the October event being changed to a twilight event, this looks like being the last daytime event for the year.

Cheers,

Mark.

edit: Whoops, forgot to attach the entry form.

August Khanacross results

Hi Everyone, apologies for the delay but here are the results from the last Khanacross.

August Khanacross/Junior Motorkhana/Drive Day

Hi Everyone,

Please find attached the Supp Regs for the upcoming BORMSA event on 23-24 August. This includes a Drive Day on Saturday followed by a Junior Motorkhana and Khanacross on Sunday. It’s still even at the top of Club Championship table with Mark & Steve Davies fighting it out, with 2007 winner Tim Ralli not far behind.

There is also a Rally Forum being held on 13 August to discuss issues facing our sport, please attend if you can and contact the Light Car Club if you require further information.

July Khanacross CANCELLED

Hi Everyone,

Unfortunately the July BORMSA event has been cancelled due to a shortage of senior officials. Trying to run 10 events a year plus maintain the tracks, promote the club and progress the autocross has finally caught up with us and we will have to miss out on a fun day of racing.

To avoid having to cancel any further events this year, we would welcome volunteers to assist with any of the following tasks:

Event Days

Clerk of Course

Club Steward

Secretary

Scrutineer

Instructors for Drive Days

Nominated first aiders

Khanacross Results June 2008

Attached are the results from the Khanacross on June 15th.

I think everyone had a great time - I laughed myself silly.

Cheers to Chris and Maddie for the results, and to the rest of the team for putting on an awesome event.

Standout performance from Brenton in the new 323. After the first 4 stages I was pretty worried...

June 2008 Motorkhana/Khanacross

Hi Everyone,

Please find attached the Supp Regs for the upcoming Khanacross and Junior Motorkhana on Sunday, 15th June.

Don’t forget that any mailed entries need to be sent to the PO Box in Beverley (not Cloister’s Square) or scanned emailled to bormsa@iinet.net.au. Could I also ask that all competitors check the expiry of their competition licences and ensure that any renewals are sent to CAMS with plenty of time to spare. If you haven’t received your new licence, then you need to call CAMS Member Services on 1300 653 529 to obtain a temporary one.
