BORSMA AGM & End of Season BBQ

The 2012 BORMSA AGM and trophy presentation is to be held on Sunday the 2nd of December 2012 at Shelter Y1 in Whiteman Park at 11:00am (see attached map).

The AGM agenda is also attached. If you have any ideas for the improvement or changes to the club, then this is your chance to have a say.

Please come along and enjoy the BBQ and soft drinks. RSVP to with number of people (family/friends) coming by Monday 26th of November 2012 so we can cater for everyone.

We are very sorry to announce that the events on Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th October have been cancelled due to the forecasted weather in Beverley and extremely dry conditions at the BORMSA Motorplex. Whilst it is a disappointing end to the year, we can't risk starting a fire that could get out of control due to the combination of dry + heat + wind. We will endeavour to contact all entries by phone in the next 24 hours and arrange refunds of entry fees.

Potential for Event Cancellation Due to Fire Risk

Due to recent hot weather in Beverley, the BORMSA Motorplex is very dry and poses a high fire risk.  The current Beverley forecast for the event weekend is 36degC and windy; it would be unsafe to run in these conditions.   We will monitor the forecast throughout the week and will confirm on THURSDAY morning if the events can go ahead via email/website/calls to entries.  Whilst it is incredibly disappointing that we may need to end the season like this, we cannot place lives and homes at risk in the Beverley Shire.

ENTRIES OPEN: Twilight KX (27th) & Autocross (28th)

Entries are now open for the BORMSA Twilight Khanacross and Autocross at the end of October. Please read the Supp Regs carefully as they cover both the Twilight KX and AX events.

A big thank you to Greg, Rex and those who have volunteered to help as timekeepers, starters and flag marshalls. We can't run events without you.

We look forward to seeing everyone up at Beverley for a weekend of racing to finish off the BORMSA 2012 season.

September AX results.

Sorry for the delay everyone. Here are the results from the September AX.

LAST EVENTS FOR 2012 - Twilight KX (Saturday 27th October) and Autocross (Sunday 28th October)

Head up to Beverley for the last weekend in October for the double event of Twilight Khanacross on Saturday 27th and Autocross on Sunday 28th. We urgently need some volunteers to help out at the events including an Event Secretary. It’s not too complicated and there will be assistance available. Please let us know if you can assist or want further information. Event secretary will receive reimbursement of $50 for each event to offset travelling and accommodation expenses. Contact

AUTOCROSS - Sunday 30 September - Entries Open

Supp Regs have been approved for our extra Autocross on Sunday 30 September. Volunteers are required for Secretary, Starter and Flag Marshals - please contact so that we can go racing!

Please be aware that we have updated the penalties to match the CAMS Speed Event Standing Regs - do not jump start or hit cones!

Entry form and Regs attached.

Save the Date! Autocross on Sunday 30 September

Regs have been submitted to CAMS for an extra Autocross on Sunday 30 September (long weekend!). Let me know ( if you are able to assist on the day - volunteers to be Secretary, Flag marshalls and scrutineers would be greatly appreciated.

September Khanacross results

These are very provisional, am waiting on clarification on how we should allocate times to non finishers.

From the CAMS manual, (under 14.4); (ii) Slowest + 5 for vehicles that attempted the course but (DNF).(x) Slowest +10 for vehicle that failed to attempt the test (DNS). This is a relatively new addition to the manual. Just for info as well, the manual now has finishing past the end cones with part car outside the garage is only a +5 second penalty (under item (ix)), so it has changed from +10 seconds.

LAST CHANCE - KX Entries Close Tomorrow!

As of today, we only have FOUR entries for the Khanacross. Please get your entry in ASAP if you would like to race this weekend or the event will be cancelled due to lack of competitor numbers.

* UPDATE * The khanacross WILL be running on Sunday. See you there.
