For BORMSA events to happen they need officials to run them. Holding a CAMS Club Chief licence allows you to act as Clerk of Course or Steward for any of our BORMSA events.

The CAMS Club Chief training module currently scheduled for 2013 clashes with the Donnelly rally (18 May), which we expect many BORMSA members to be involved in. CAMS will consider running an extra session if we can demonstrate enough interest. Could you please let me know if you are interested in attaining your Club Chief licence in 2013?

The 2012 BORMSA AGM and trophy presentation is to be held on Sunday the 2nd of December 2012 at Shelter Y1 in Whiteman Park at 11:00am (see attached map).

The AGM agenda is also attached. If you have any ideas for the improvement or changes to the club, then this is your chance to have a say.

We are very sorry to announce that the events on Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th October have been cancelled due to the forecasted weather in Beverley and extremely dry conditions at the BORMSA Motorplex. Whilst it is a disappointing end to the year, we can't risk starting a fire that could get out of control due to the combination of dry + heat + wind. We will endeavour to contact all entries by phone in the next 24 hours and arrange refunds of entry fees.

Due to recent hot weather in Beverley, the BORMSA Motorplex is very dry and poses a high fire risk.  The current Beverley forecast for the event weekend is 36degC and windy; it would be unsafe to run in these conditions.   We will monitor the forecast throughout the week and will confirm on THURSDAY morning if the events can go ahead via email/website/calls to entries.  Whilst it is incredibly disappointing that we may need to end the season like this, we cannot place lives and homes at risk in the Beverley Shire.

Entries are now open for the BORMSA Twilight Khanacross and Autocross at the end of October. Please read the Supp Regs carefully as they cover both the Twilight KX and AX events.

A big thank you to Greg, Rex and those who have volunteered to help as timekeepers, starters and flag marshalls. We can't run events without you.

We look forward to seeing everyone up at Beverley for a weekend of racing to finish off the BORMSA 2012 season.

Head up to Beverley for the last weekend in October for the double event of Twilight Khanacross on Saturday 27th and Autocross on Sunday 28th. We urgently need some volunteers to help out at the events including an Event Secretary. It’s not too complicated and there will be assistance available. Please let us know if you can assist or want further information. Event secretary will receive reimbursement of $50 for each event to offset travelling and accommodation expenses. Supp Regs have been approved for our extra Autocross on Sunday 30 September. Volunteers are required for Secretary, Starter and Flag Marshals - please contact cheryls@iinet.net.au so that we can go racing!

Please be aware that we have updated the penalties to match the CAMS Speed Event Standing Regs - do not jump start or hit cones!
